Female Personal Assistant
to support a young Lady in her mid-thirties who has a learning disability along with Cerebral palsy.
MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORT DUE TO THE FAMILIES HOMW LOCATION.

____9________ hours per week, Plus the offer of extra hrs to cover other staff holidays.
Salary
Living wage rate – £13.73 per hour, wages are paid 4 weekly in arrears
Annual Leave
5.6 weeks paid Annual leave pro rate for contracted staff
Days of work / times required
9hrs split between Sat and Sunday, however may require some support on an evening through the week to give parents some respite. To be further discussed at interview.
Job PurposeTo support a young lady with social support and some personal care within and out with the family home.
EmployerYou will be employed by the personal employer, who will be assisted to administer payroll and undertake the necessary employment support responsibilities by a relevant support organisation.
Probationary period
· There is a 6 month probationary period attached to the post
· Successful applicant will have to undergo a new or update of the PVG disclosure scheme and supply 2 up to date reference contacts prior to appointment

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Personalise as required
You will be responsible for supporting the person to engage in all aspects of community life and activities as directed by the family.
You will be assisting with personal care tasks as directed by the employer
Being flexible is a key component to this job and you will be guided by the employer about the particular activities that the young lady wishes to engage in.
You may be required to work in the evening on occasions. This will usually be planned in advance.
You will be required to drive the employer’s car at times and you should be willing and able to do this with confidence and support her travelling to various locations. You will require a full clean current driver’s licence
You may at times be required to provide companionship in her own home.
Assisting at the swimming pool – you do not need to swim, you would assist with pers care, mum happy to go in pool
Please note this is a NON smoking household.
TrainingMoving and assisting is required as the lady in in a wheelchair and requires hosting for all transfers.
