This position will run until filled with the following cutoff dates for review: the 1st and 15th of each month until filled.

Under the direction of the Investment Manager (IM) and direction of the Associate Investment Manager (AIM) within the Investment Services (IS) team, the Investment Officer III (IO III) will lead, guide, and advise the Investment Office (INVO) staff on all contract activities, such as the Alternative Solicitation Processes for External Manager Contracts, Requests for Proposals, Spring Fed Pool Contracts, Letters of Engagement, and other specialized investment service contracts.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Onsite and virtually responsible for overseeing the most complex vendor relationships and contracting vehicles, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with the CalPERS and INVO procurement policies.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with cross-functional teams, including the Legal Office (LEGO), the Operations and Support Services Division (OSSD), the Enterprise Compliance, Risk and Governance Office (ECRG), the Human Resources Division (HRSD), the Information Security Office (ISOF), and the Financial Office (FINO) to facilitate timely execution of contracts.
  • Onsite and virtually acts as the INVO Spring Fed Pool expert, main point of contact, and lead SME for internal INVO staff and Enterprise business partners.
Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.
