Aleksandra Nova Design (ANID) is a luxury interior design firm specializing in high-end residential and boutique hospitality projects. Based in Chicago, with plans to expand to Miami and beyond, we are seeking a passionate and innovative Interior Designer to join our growing team. We are looking for a creative visionary who has a deep passion for design and is eager to grow alongside our team. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of experience, is a proactive self-starter, detail-oriented, and brings a fresh, innovative perspective to modern interiors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Design Principal to manage and lead multiple large-scale turnkey design projects for high-profile clients.
  • Oversee all aspects of the design process, from concept to final installation, with precision and attention to detail.
  • Provide creative leadership to the team, including Design Assistants and Interns, ensuring projects align with the firm's brand and vision.
  • Execute the firm's four project phases, maintaining organization and efficiency throughout.
  • Design full room concepts, sourcing furniture and decor, including vintage and antique pieces.
  • Develop and manage budgets for all furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE).
  • Create and oversee detailed construction documents, including space planning, elevations, electrical plans, finish plans, and lighting schedules, using AutoCAD and/or Archicad.
  • Apply knowledge of construction materials and finishes for appropriate use in designs.
  • Manage the procurement of all project items from construction finishes to furnishings.
  • Lead turnkey installations, including final styling and accessorizing.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, team members, vendors, contractors, and architects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Assist with invoicing and administrative tasks related to projects.
  • Oversee photoshoots and collaborate with the Design Principal on styling.
  • Occasionally travel out of town for project-related needs.

Key Qualifications + Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in a leadership role within the interior design industry.
  • Proven experience managing new builds, renovations, and construction projects.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD, Archicad, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office, Canva.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active self-starter and a collaborative mindset.
  • Fun, friendly personality with high integrity and a desire to excel.
  • Valid driver's license (an operating vehicle is a plus).
