Wire or Sinker EDM Operator – Cleveland & Brecksville, OH

Emerge is actively recruiting skilled Wire or Sinker EDM Operator/Machinists for direct-hire positions in Cleveland and Brecksville, OH with a leading manufacturer known for producing high-quality products. Candidates must have 5 or more years of experience operation EDM Machinery, preferably making molds and dies. 

---Pay: $22–$28 per hour + 20% shift premium for 2nd shift
---Benefits: Excellent benefits starting on day one
---Shifts:

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
• 3rd shift: Sunday-Thursday, 9 PM - 5:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Operate EDM Wire machines (Mitsubishi) or EDM Sinker machines (Sodick & Charmilles)
• Read and interpret blueprints and setup sheets to ensure precision
• Perform machining within very tight tolerances
• Inspect your own work to meet high-quality standards
• Work closely with Engineering and Programming teams throughout production
• Utilize various machinery such as Bridgeport mills, grinders, saws, and EDM equipment
• Maintain compliance with Corporate EHS, Quality, and HR standards

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in tool and mold making
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Journeyman’s papers in Tool & Die and/or Mold Making OR 8+ years of job shop experience
• Experience in turbine/airfoil mold and die construction is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
• Proficiency in basic math and trigonometry
• Deep understanding of tooling processes
• ITAR Compliance: This position is subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) , requiring U.S. person status (U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee). Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available .
