Job Posting  Accounts Payable Specialist -Full-Time / Full Year position

Job Goal:  To ensure prompt and accurate handling of accounts payable for RSU #38. Duties include posting revenues to the general fund, food service and student services departments. The Accounts Payable Specialist provides high-level financial administrative support to Administration. Duties include reconciliation of assigned accounts, handling the coordination of ordering supplies for the district. The position is also responsible for participating in the smooth running of the central office.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma (Associates’ Degree preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years’ successful experience in a professional office setting with 2 years’ of accounts payable experience

• Experience with accounts payable software (The district currently uses ADS)
• Strong communications skills
• Strong computer skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet deadlines.

Certification: Must possess or be able to obtain a criminal history record check (CHRC) through the Maine Department of Education.
