Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant/Payroll Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Lawndale, California. This role is ideal for someone with experience in payroll processing, general accounting, and clerical tasks who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Process full-cycle payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. - Assist with general accounting tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries. - Maintain accurate financial records and documentation. - Prepare and submit payroll reports to the appropriate departments. - Handle clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and correspondence. - Collaborate with other team members to support accounting operations. - Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries in a timely manner. - Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures during all accounting processes. - Monitor and verify financial transactions to ensure accuracy. - Perform additional tasks as needed to support the accounting and payroll functions. Requirements - Proven experience with full-cycle payroll processing. - Basic understanding of general accounting principles. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Proficiency in data entry and clerical tasks. - Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize workload. - Familiarity with payroll systems and accounting software. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information responsibly.
